[mitk-users] Curved Planar Reformation

Dear all,
we would like to use CPR to "stretch" a segmentation of the aorta before
calculating the progression of the thrombus.

Do you know which is the current status of this functionality in MITK?

I've seen some related emails, and one was pointing to a paper from Prof.
Ivo Wolf that was initially implemented in this branch:
https://phabricator.mitk.org/T10719

Does it make sense to continue and try to complete this implementation? Is
there a better way to currently do that in MITK?

Thanks and regards,

Mario

Dear Mario,

I am also interested in this feature. Which way did you decide to go?

Dear Mario,

We would also need a feature of this kind, to visualize an image along a
curved plane. What we are doing for now is computing the image "by
hand", voxel by voxel.

Did you find a way to implement your feature?

Best regards,

Daphné

Hi Daphne,
sorry for not answering sooner. No, unfortunately we haven't a working
solution yet. We are users like you.

Maybe some of the developers would like to comment on what is the current
status and how can we help moving that further.

Best,

Mario

Hi Mario, hi Daphne,

Jan and I was working on this task years ago. As you have already seen our progress is documented in T10719<https://phabricator.mitk.org/T10719> . So far as I know there is no one working at this functionality at the moment and we have not discussed a “better” way up to now☺

We talked a lot about the functionality and we would be very appreciated, if you could manage to work on it!

Best,
Jasmin
